NBA Live 13 or NBA 2K13?

I have always been a huge fan playing sports games on different consoles, but I have always thought the best sports game out there is basketball, NBA 2K series to be precise.


In the past couple of years 2K has produced some of the greatest quality sporting games such as: NHL, Major League Baseball, Top Spin and my favorite, NBA 2K.


With the release date of October 7th 2011, 2K had released the best basketball game ever made, NBA 2K12, reviews were in the high with this game, in fact was even labeled "#1 Basketball game of all time".
The game play is so realistic and the controls are not perfect but they are quality, the graphics are awesome and the sound and music quality of game play is top of the line.




Some things I love about the recent NBA 2K games in the series is My Player mode.
This is where you get to create a player with custom options to change how he looks, how he shoots and different features about your player, and then you take it to the court where you play tom get drafted and you get skill points so you can increase ability levels (eg. Mid range shot and Dunk).
The down side for My Player mode is that they took away the game mode that allows you to play online with your My Player and team up against other My Players, that was the only downside in 2K12 My Player mode. I think it was for the best though because of the hackers and cheaters out there who wreck the game for all of us.


Another great feature from the NBA 2K series is the commentating, its just so fluent and ties right in with the game play, it's like your actually watching a live broadcast of a real NBA game. This is one of the reason it is the 1# Sports game of all time.


One Downside that was on 2K12 was the rating of players, I know these players a really good in the real NBA, but some are just overrated, they just dominate in the game and you cant stop them for example: LeBron James and Derrick Rose, I know they are Awesome Players! but you just cant defend them they blast right past you and score nearly 90% of the time, it just gets really annoying. - IMO

NBA 2K12 was a Fantastic game and i hope they can top it with NBA 2K13 coming this year, they'll have to step it up a notch though because they have some competition coming back with EA Sports NBA Live 13.


Don't get me wrong here, but EA Sports has also created some great sporting games as well. i would have to say NBA Live is right up there in some of the best games they have created.


The Popular NBA Live 10, is the most recent Live game in the series, they have backed off making Live 11 and 12, but are making a come back with NBA Live 13. They might be giving 2K a run for their money this year.

I haven't played much of NBA Live 10, but it was a great game at the time, I mean you gotta admit that there were cooler dunks in Live 10 then there were in 2K10 and the game in general had a more fun feel to it.
